The William G. Mennen Sports Arena is proud to be a member of the Ice Skating Institute (ISI), an international trade association established in 1959 "to provide leadership, education, and services to the ice skating industry."

The Learn-To-Skate Program offered at the Mennen Sports Arena is the standardized program offered throughout the world to increase both interest and participation in ice-skating as a recreational sport.

This innovative "step" program is specifically structured to provide skaters of all ages- from tots to seniors - an opportunity to progressively learn and advance from level to level as they achieve new skills in skating.

Throughout the years, the Mennen Sports Arena has received nationwide recognition for excellence in skating instruction. Using the success ratio of students and the number of students enrolled in the program as markers, the Learn-To-Skate program at Mennen Arena has consistently been cited by the ISI as one of the top five ice-skating programs in the country.

Qualified & Caring Instructors
The success of the Learn-To-Skate program at the William G. Mennen Sports Arena evolves from the team of skating professionals that bring experience, expertise, and compassion to their class instruction. Together, our skating instructors have more than 300 years combined teaching experience.

While the majority of our instructors are members of the Professional Skating Association, the United States Figure Skating Association, and the Ice Skating Institute, others maintain membership in the National Ice Skating Association and the USA Hockey Association.
