A Family Funfest and 5K
The Alliance for Morris County Parks presents A Family Funfest and 5K. Help raise funds for an All-Access Playground for children of ALL abilities. This playground will be built with proper specialized equipment for all children.
- 5K Race on a multi-terrain cross country course — Register
- Walk & Roll (Strollers and wheelchairs welcome) — No registration required
- Family Funfest with music, activities, and food — Register
Date: Saturday, October 15
Time: 5K — Check in 7:30 am, Race 9 am
Walk & Roll — Check in 10am, Start 10:30am
Family Funfest — 11am–2pm
Location: Central Park of Morris County, 91 Central Avenue, Parsippany (GPS Morris Plains)
Cost: $22 by 10/10 and $25 day of race; No fee for Walk & Roll; Family Funfest — Family Admission $35 in advance; $40 day of event

All Children's Playground
Along with families of students at the PG Chambers School, the Park Alliance hopes to raise $350,000 to fund a playground for children of all abilities. The playground will be located at Central Park of Morris County in Parsippany. A Fundraiser is scheduled on October 15, 2011. "Stars Plaza" at Mennen Sports Arena
Support Mennen Sports Arena by honoring or memorializing a loved one with an engraved brick at "Stars Plaza."
- A single brick measuring 4” by 8” can be purchased for $100
- Larger bricks and custom set-ups are available

New Canine Activity Center
Our Center:
- Located at Central Park of Morris County in Parsippany, at the intersection of Old Dover Road and Collins Road
- Includes traditional off-leash dog park plus separate sections for large and small dogs
- Plans call for water lines, lighting, and a patio in future development phases

About the Alliance
The Morris County Park Alliance is a 501(c)(3) non-profit group that supports the Morris County Park Commission in improving, maintaining, and fostering appreciation for our outstanding park system. It was established in 1998 with the primary purpose to solicit funds and resources to support improvements to the park system. The Board is made up of business and community leaders in Morris County.
Projects supported by the Park Alliance include playgrounds, gardens, concerts, picnic and golf shelters, and activities for the 50th anniversary celebration of the Park Commission.
