During this four-day history camp, young historians have the opportunity to learn what it was like to be a child in three different time periods by visiting Historic Speedwell in Morristown, Cooper Gristmill in Chester, and Fosterfields Living Historical Farm in Morris Township. Campers visit all three sites with this unique program and travel through time to the 1840s, 1880s, and 1920s to discover how children spent their day, depending on time period, gender, and social class.

Archaeology has always fascinated children of all ages. Everyone dreams of finding an arrowhead or a musket ball dropped by a soldier during the American Revolution in their backyard. Historic Speedwell offers the junior archaeologist the chance to learn the basic skills and unearth some treasures of their own!
