DJ Earl creates an atmosphere of celebration as you skate to your favorite tunes. Gather your friends and meet on the ice every Friday night for skating, arcade games, and yummy treats from the snack bar. 
Friday Night Skate with DJ Earl will be offered every Friday through April 2017.

Snowshoe Sundays at Pyramid Mountain

Ages 10 & Up.
Enjoy an afternoon of guided snowshoeing and trekking. Use your own snowshoes, or rent them for an additional $10. No experience necessary.

Snowshoe Sundays are held every Sunday January 8 through March 12, except February 19.

Learn the process of maple sugaring from start to finish. Identify and tap maple trees, collect sap, and make syrup over a wood-fired evaporator. Taste-test different delicious syrups, including syrup made at the Great Swamp OEC. Rain or shine.

Hooray! The days are getting longer, signaling spring is coming. Discover why plants need light and how it helps them grow.

March 8: The Shape of Things
Now that the trees are bare, you can see their shapes and their structures. Explore why the trees are shaped the way they are, and what shapes are found in the garden.

March 22: Shake it Up!
Seeds travel in a number of ways year-round. Now’s the time to think about sowing seeds for spring. Take a guided walk to hunt for seeds, and hear a story read aloud.

This year’s keynote speaker is Peter Hatch, now the Director of Gardens and Grounds Emeritus for the Thomas Jefferson Foundation. The impressive list of session speakers, all experts in their field, are covering topics both relevant and pertinent to community gardeners, garden managers, and those trying to establish a new community garden.
