Plan Your Gift

Is there a park, trail or facility that has special meaning for you? Is there a certain activity you really enjoy? We will work with you to ensure that your planned giving is invested in what you value most. Or plan for an unrestricted donation to ensure your gift makes the greatest impact. With an unrestricted donation, you enable the Morris County Park Commission to take advantage of unique one-time opportunities that would not otherwise be possible. Your investment is a personal way for you to serve as a steward that benefits both you and the County Park System.

Artifact Donation

Thank you for your interest in donating to the collections of the Morris County Park Commission.  The Park Commission is home to an extraordinary collection of more than 53 thousand artifacts, 756 linear feet of archives, 22 thousand images, and 9 thousand books.  These items include paintings, fine art furnishings, and 19th to 20th-century clothing and accessories.  Our vast collection also encompasses industrial equipment, wooden gears and patterns agricultural equipment, and steam engines.  As a collecting institution, our holdings are always growing more diverse through the generosity of individuals and corporations.  Donations assist our sites in fulfilling their missions to provide unique educational experiences and help us understand and connect our past to the present.

In order to ensure that your objects are properly tracked and cared for, we ask that you please not mail or drop off items for consideration unless asked to do so by the Morris County Park Commission Collection’s staff.

Please contact collections staff at to begin the donation process. We appreciate your patience as we give your offer thorough and complete attention.
