The Park Commission is home to an extraordinary collection of more than 53 thousand artifacts, 756 linear feet of archives, 22 thousand images, and 9 thousand books. These items include paintings, fine art furnishings, and 19th to 20th-century clothing and accessories. Our vast collection also encompasses industrial equipment, wooden gears and patterns agricultural equipment, and steam engines. As a collecting institution, our holdings are always growing more diverse. These historic artifacts help us understand and connect our past to the present. During our open season, our collections are always on view for visitors to enjoy at our historic sites.
