Sunrise Lake Beach Club is the perfect spot to spend a summer day with family and friends. Open Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day, there is something for everyone to enjoy when visiting. Find a spot on the beach to sunbathe, take a trip down the inflatable Zoom Flume slides, test your skills on the inflatable obstacle course, rent a paddle boat, or splash around in the lake. There are several first come, first served picnic tables and a reservable beach tent area that make Sunrise Lake Beach Club a popular choice for family picnics. Don’t forget our specialty programs and packages designed for families with toddlers, birthday parties, and camp/group visits.
Set within Lewis Morris Park, Sunrise Lake Beach Club is a great spot for the whole family to spend a fun-filled day at the beach right here in Morris County.
Sunrise Lake Beach Club is open Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day. Weather permitting, hours are subject to change due to Lifeguard availability. Areas of the water (deep end and Wibit) may open and close throughout the day depending on staff availability. For schedule updates or closures please call ahead 973.267.4351.

Beach Tent Rentals
The 20’ x 30’ Beach Tent can accommodate groups up to 50 people, making it the perfect choice for your next family picnic, birthday party, or corporate outing.
Available:

- Saturdays – Sundays (May 30 – August 30): 11:00am – 5:00pm
- Not available on Holidays
Birthday Parties
Enjoy two (2) hours of beach access with your family and friends to celebrate someone specials birthday. This package includes beach access and swimming (shallow and deep water) for 20 children and 20 adults.

Exclusive Wibit Rentals
Exclusive Wibit Rentals allow for you to secure private access on the Wibit for you and your friends and family.
Exclusive Wibit Rentals are also great for sports teams, corporate groups, clubs, and organizations.
Bathing Rules and Regulations
1. Swim suits are required to go in the water. Gym shorts, jeans, spandex, etc. will not be permitted.
2. Running, rough play, spitting, use of abusive language, and offensive conduct are prohibited.
3. Patrons must swim only in designated areas and only when lifeguards are on duty.
4. Rafts, masks, or any other aquatic equipment are prohibited.
5. Playing ball is prohibited.
6. Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not permitted on the premises.
7. Refreshments shall be permitted only in areas specifically designated by the Park Commission.
8. Membership, registration, and admission fees are established and revised from time to time by the Park Commission.
9. Each patron of the swimming facilities shall be required to possess and produce verification of admission to an authorized representative of the Commission upon request.
10. Each patron shall conform with the directions of the facility manager, lifeguard, or authorized representative of the Commission in the performance of their duties.
11. Children under 14 years of age shall use the bathing facilities only when accompanied by an adult.
12. Children shall be constantly supervised by a parent or other responsible and competent adult.
13. No animals or pets of any kind are allowed in the bathing area.
14. The Commission will not be responsible for loss of property caused by theft, damage, or other casualty, nor for personal injuries.
15. Groups of 25 or more persons and any group arriving by bus are required to make reservations in advance.
Boating Rules and Regulations
1. All patrons are required to wear life preservers.
2. Patrons shall refrain from rocking, tipping, or otherwise operating the boat in an unsafe manner.
3. Boats shall dock at designated areas only. Landing boats at any area other than the designated boat dock is strictly prohibited.
4. Patrons utilizing boats shall maintain a safe distance from the dam or other hazardous areas.
5. Patrons are required to remain seated in the boats at all times. Bathing or jumping in the water from the boats is prohibited.
6. Patrons will be required to return the boats to the dock when the lake is deemed unsafe by the boat attendant or Park Commission representative.
7. Patrons are required to conform to limits on the number of occupants and weight load per boat, as designated by the capacity/weight specifications listed on the boat.
8. Food or drink is prohibited on any boat.
9. Any patron destroying Park Commission property will be directed to leave and be further liable for damages.
10. Each patron shall conform with the directions of the Facility Manager, Boat Attendant, Park Police Officer, or any other authorized representative of the Park Commission in the performance of their duties.
11. Pets are prohibited on any boat.
12. Children under the age of 14 in boats must be accompanied by an adult.
No Smoking Policy
The Morris County Park Commission has recently announced a No Smoking Policy banning all smoking including burning of, inhaling from, exhaling the smoke from or the possession of a lighted cigar, cigarette, pipe or any other matter of substance which contains tobacco or any other matter that can be smoked, or the inhaling or exhaling of smoke or vapor from an electronic smoking device. Only a portion of our admission tickets are available for pre-sale (online), additional passes are sold onsite day-of. Some days will sell out, please call before visiting for onsite admission availability. Max capacity closures will also be posted @sunriselakebeachclub.

Beach passes can be purchased online or on-site. We recommend purchasing passes online ahead of time to secure your spot click here and skip the line!
Outside food and beverage is permitted (no alcohol, no glass). Snacks are available to purchase on-site as well.
Make sure to bring all of your own beach gear. Beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, sunblock, etc. are not available to purchase or rent. The use of portable grills is not permitted.
There is a reservable tent on the beach. There are also limited Adirondack Chairs for use on a first come first served basis.
Children 7 – 17 must pass a facility swim test in order to swim in the deep end.

Wibit (Inflatable Obstacle Course)

Munchkin Mondays
Sunrise Lake provides an opportunity for parents/guardians to bring their toddler to enjoy the beach and the water. Your little ones will love exploring new surroundings while playing with others their own age!

Paddle Boating
Paddle boating is available during regular beach hours. The last boat is rented 45 minutes prior to the closing time for the beach.
- You must be 14 yrs. or older to ride without an adult.
- Lifejackets MUST be worn by everyone on the boat regardless of your swimming ability.
- Boating fee is separate from the beach access fee. See the Rates tab for prices.
- Rentals are 30 minutes long and include a 5 minute debriefing.
- Availability and schedule may change depending on staffing
Stand Up Paddle Boarding
Paddle Boards (SUPs) is available during the times listed below during public sessions; to inquire about paddle boarding, call 973.267.4351.
