Backyard Forestry: Pest Invasives

The Frelinghuysen Arboretum is pleased to partner with the NJ Forestry Association to provide a new series of monthly 90-minute programs that provide landowners with informative, educational, and interesting topics on how to steward your backyard woodlot. This presentation will provide an overview of some of the pests in New Jersey that are considered ‘invasive,’ such as the Spotted Lanternfly and the Emerald Ash Borer. Paul Kurtz will describe each of these invasive pests, explain why they are detrimental to the landscape, and provide strategies for managing these invasive pests on your property. CEUs available.
