FESTIVE SCARECROWS TAKE OVER THE FRELINGHUYSEN ARBORETUM THIS FALL

Monday, October 07, 2019

MORRISTOWN, NJ. Beginning Saturday, October 19 through Sunday, December 1, explore the beautiful gardens of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morris Township, and spy dozens of festive, fall scarecrows designed by individuals, businesses, organizations, scout groups, and school classes.

Visit the Haggerty Education Center for a map of locations to find these crafty creations. Keep your eyes out for the ‘Gary the Gardener’ scarecrow, dressed as one of the Arboretum’s own gardeners. Find all of the scarecrows, take a selfie with your favorite to post on Facebook or Instagram, and take a mini-scarecrow home to decorate yourself.

Interested in having your own scarecrow displayed? It’s not too late! Email gmontgomery@morrisparks.net for more information and an application. All scarecrows should make their appearance at the Arboretum by the weekend of October 12.

Enjoy this FREE event at your own convenience throughout the dates listed. To register your scarecrow, for more information, and directions to The Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morris Township, visit morrisparks.net or call 973.326.7601.
