The Morris County Park Alliance recently held its Community Recognition Awards and presented the Randolph Recreation Booster Club its Outstanding Support Organization award. Committee member Dr. Joseph Nazzaro presented Anne Standridge of the Randolph Booster Club with an attractive glass plaque and a New Jersey State Joint Citation provided by Assemblyman Anthony Bucco.

The Randolph Booster Club has supported recreation in Randolph for over 25 years. They have been committed to supporting current and future programs, managing funds raised through sponsorships, merchandise sales, donations, and other activities. Using proceeds from their events, the club provides scholarships to Randolph HS seniors who have been involved in recreation programs. Over the past 5 years, the booster club has provided over $18,000 in scholarships, as well as providing over $60,000 in field and gym improvements.

Russ Newman, Director of Parks and Recreation nominated the organization stating they have provided funding beyond what is provided for through the township budget. Their interest in providing improved facilities, equipment and events have made the programs safer and more rewarding for all involved.
