Plan an outing with friends and family and enjoy a picnic. Reserve the atheltic field to compliment your day’s activities. Bring your fishing pole to enjoy a day alongside the picturesque pond. In the winter months with snow covered ground, you can be refreshed by snowshoeing and cross-country skiing at this park. Digital park/trail maps are available online.

Picnics and Athletic Field: There are picnic areas and shelters that include tables, benches, and grills located at the park for your enjoyment. Plan a fun picnic for family and friends. In the nearby athletic field, toss a Frisbee, play catch, or organize a kickball or softball game.
For groups larger than 25 people, take advantage of one of the reservable picnic sites that include a shelter, picnic tables, and charcoal grills. You can also reserve the atheltic field to organize a softball or soccer game.

This park was opened to the public in October 1978 when the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills donated the first parcel of land to the Morris County Park Commission. Mildred and Richard W. McEwan presented the Park Commission with a gift of an additional six acres of land for the park in September 1977.
Old Troy County Park is open daily Sunrise to Sunset throughout the year.
The Morris County Park Commission has recently announced a No Smoking Policy banning all smoking including burning of, inhaling from, exhaling the smoke from or the possession of a lighted cigar, cigarette, pipe or any other matter of substance which contains tobacco or any other matter that can be smoked, or the inhaling or exhaling of smoke or vapor from an electronic smoking device.
