NJ Urban and Community Forestry

NJUCF Program

Morris County is enrolled in the New Jersey Urban and Community Forestry (NJUCF) Program which works to encourage, promote and support the local stewardship and effective management of trees and forest ecosystems in New Jersey’s communities through technical and financial assistance. To receive and maintain accreditation Morris County has completed the following:

  • Adoption of a 5 year Community Forestry Management Plan
  • NJUCF Core Training for minimum of one employee and one volunteer
  • Eight or more continuing education units (CEUs) on an annual basis
  • NJUCF Annual Accomplishment Report

Continued accreditation allows Morris County to apply and receive grants for tree inventory and reforestation initiatives.
