Activities

Campers at Camp Sunrise Lake experience days filled with new adventures, safe exploration, fun obstacles, and make memories that last a life time. Campers spend the morning at age-appropriate activities and spend the afternoon at Sunrise Lake Beach Club, where they participate in swimming, boating, and have the opportunity to play on our inflatable obstacle course, the Wibit, and the Zoom Floom slides.

Each week campers participate in Color Wars, a friendly day of competition, and have two themes days.

Morning Explorers

Morining Explorers Registration

8:15 am - 9:00 am

Morning Explorers allows your camper to start camp as early as 8:15. Campers will be completely supervised and led in fun games and activities each morning. Our goal is to make camp more accessible to everyone and accommodate working and busy parents.

Swim Lessons

Swim Lesson Registration

8:15 am - 9:00 am

The new Swim Lesson program is an opportunity for campers to improve their swimming ability and gain confidence in the water each day before the start of camp.  A 30 minute lesson is led by a certified swim instructor and monitored by lifeguards.

CIT Program

8:30 am - 4:00 pm

The CIT (Camper in Transition) Program began in 2014 for growing campers to take on a leadership role within camp. The CIT Program provides a safe opportunity to explore their developing need for independence and growing minds by providing new experiences and added privileges that they would not have as a general camper.

CITs are given the unique opportunity to have the fun of camp while learning about helpfulness and responsibility. CITs work closely with staff and counselors, and while it may seem that they are preparing to be counselors, they’re truly learning how to become great leaders and role models beyond Camp Sunrise Lake.

CITs take part in a mandatory CIT Training in July. This all day training session orients them to camp, works on leadership skills, and prepares them to assist their campers and lead activities.

At Camp Sunrise Lake, each CIT:
* Is paired with a group of campers, who they assist and lead throughout the day
* Leads an activity, teaching and instructing young campers in a subject they feel comfortable with
* Has the opportunity to shadow staff members, including activity leaders, counselors, and the Camp Director
* Participate in CIT-only trainings and activities

This program offers the opportunity to develop and expand leadership skills, become a role model for younger children, assist in motivating others, and become part of a high-performing team, all while having fun!
